Advent means coming... Who is coming?
The baby Jesus is coming!!!
Important Points of Interest:
- Updated information about our Christmas Service Project: Zion's early childhood classes will partner with Helping Hand-Me-Downs, a nonprofit St. Louis company, to help local families in need. Collect items at home between now and the week of Dec. 17th. Bring items to school the week of Dec. 17th. Watch for designated collection site locations.
- Gently used items (i.e. nothing new with tags) such as clothing (sizes preemie to 16-18 boys and girls), shoes, coats, toys, books, baby gear, etc.
- Cribs and unexpired car seats
- Laundry detergent, personal care items, and cleaning supplies
The following items are needed the most.
- Breeze Park field trip has been rescheduled for Friday, December 14th. Remember to send students to school in their red Zion shirt and with a booster seat that day.
- Our Shepherd on the search will arrive on Monday. This is the same idea as the Elf on the Shelf but it is a Shepherd on the Search. He will help us prepare for the coming of baby Jesus and His birthday. Watch our class Instagram page for Shepherd sightings.
Looking ahead:
- Friday, December 21st will be the Kindergarten/8th grade Advent Christmas service. This will be done for the entire school. Parents/families are welcome to join us. It will take place in the church sanctuary and it will start right away around 8:10ish. That is also the day of our Christmas party and it is an early dismissal day(noon).
Snapshots from the week:
Our 4th-grade buddy class (Mrs. Ernstmeyer's class) bought Christmas books for our classroom! They read a book to their partner before they left them for us to enjoy this month.
