Points of Interest:

• Field trip in on Wednesday (10/9/19). We will depart at 8:30. Please send students in their red Zion spirit shirt and jeans or regular school bottoms. Be sure to have your name on your booster seat and put it out in the hallway along the wall by our classroom. All drivers are asked to pull around to the Sonshine entrance after drop off. Drivers will receive a list of passengers and directions. Drivers should start putting the booster seats in their vehicle while they wait. This will make things go smoother once the students are ready to go. All background checks are completed and we are so EXCITED! A huge thank you to our drivers: Cornejo, Franco, Hoxworth, Inman, Maier, Rader, Jennings, Alkfouf, Schneider, and Glosier.
• Reminder there is no school on Thursday and Friday (10/10/19 and 10/11/19). Zion teachers will attend a conference in downtown St. Louis.
• Please click on the link below to fill out a brief parent survey from Mrs. Haun regarding parent education opportunities for our ECE families this year. The survey responses will be collected through next week, closing on Friday, 10/11/19.https://forms.gle/FwVaR7JbswZn9Vgb8
• Red Ribbon Week is coming up (October 21-25). It is a week we celebrate healthy choices! Kindergarten will participate in the fun dress days and door decorating contest.

Monday- Think about your future...Dress like your dream job (regular dress bottoms)
Tuesday- Celebrate positive choices... Dress like your favorite holiday (regular dress bottoms)
Wednesday-Make super choices...Dress like a superhero (regular dress bottoms)
Thursday- Be wild about being healthy...Dress like an animal (regular dress bottoms)
Friday- Zion pledges to be healthy... Zion school shirt and jeans

• Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held after school on Oct. 30 and the morning of Oct. 31. Watch for more information about sign up times coming soon.
• Spread the word... Open House is early this year! Zion Lutheran School will host an Open House on November 10th from 3-5 p.m. Watch for more information on Sycamore and on the blog. Enrollment opens January 26th for the 2020-2021 school year!
