Important Points of Interest:

• No School on Monday, February 18th 
• For Grandparent’s Day, we would like to send out invitations.  Please fill out the information on the form sent home on Friday. We will send out the invitations on Monday, February 25th.
• Be sure to return the LHS Field Trip form. We will travel to LHS on Friday, March 1st to participate in the Read Across America event in honor of Dr. Seuss with Lutheran High School students. I am in need of parent drivers for this trip. Please email me if you can help drive. Background checks are needed if you do not already have one. We plan on being at LHS from 10:15-11:15. Students are asked to bring Dr. Seuss books to take to LHS to read during the event. We will return after our scheduled lunch time so we will have a pizza party in our classroom. If your child doesn't like pizza they can bring a cold lunch.
• Box Top contest ends Friday, Feb. 22nd. Send in your box tops in a baggie and I will add them to our class collection.
• Thursday, February 21st we will have an afternoon pep assembly to send off Zion's basketball teams and Cheerleaders for the State Tournament. I will have a sub. on Friday afternoon as I leave with my daughter and the basketball team for the tournament.

Looking ahead:

• Ash Wednesday is March 6th.
• Grandparents Day which will take place during the afternoon of Thursday, March 7th! Preschool will have Grandparents Day that morning and 1-8th grade will have Grandparents Day on Friday.
• End of 3rd Quarter if Friday, March 8th!
