Important Points of Interest:
- Please be sure to send in 1 empty milk jug by Monday to use as a Valentine box. Students are going to use paper mache to decorate them on Monday. Our Valentine's Day party will be on Thursday, February 14th in the afternoon. Your child can address their valentines to their classmates or just put their name on their cards. Half day students are invited to stay all day to share in our afternoon party.
- Part of 3rd Quarter expectations is knowledge of full address and phone number. Please check Red Folders for a slip of paper that I am asking everyone to fill out and return by Monday. Landlines are rare these days, therefore I would like to make sure that I know which phone number you will be working on with your child so that I am staying consistent at school.
- Field Trip form was sent home today for our LHS trip to participate in the Read Across America event in honor of Dr. Seuss. We will travel to LHS on Friday, March 1st to read with Lutheran High School students. I am in need of parent drivers for this trip. We plan on being at LHS from 10:15-11:15. Watch for more specific information to come as the day gets closer.
- Box Top contest is underway! Zion is having it's annual February Box Top contest among classrooms. The contest goes until Feb. 22nd. Send in your box tops in a baggie and I will add them to our class collection.
- Jump Rope For Heart information is in your child's red folders. It will take place on Wednesday, February 20th from 8:40-9:10.
Looking ahead:
- No School on Monday, February 18th
- Mark your calendar for Early Childhood Grandparents Day which will take place on Thursday, March 7th! Please note that this date is different than the rest of the school. 1-8th grade will have Grandparents Day on that Friday.
- End of 3rd Quarter if Friday, March 8th!
