Important Points of Interest:

•  This week is Holy week and Zion has a wonderful family friendly Living Last Supper service on Thursday at 3:30 and at 7pm.
• We will not have school on Friday, April 19th (Good Friday)- Monday, April 22nd to celebrate Easter.

Looking ahead: 

• Field trip to TOWNE PARK will take place on Wednesday, April 24^th.  We will leave around 9:15 and should be back at 2:00.  The children should bring a sack lunch, which we will eat at the park before returning back to school.  Please remember no peanut butter in this lunch. Parent drivers will be Mrs. Braswell (4), Mrs. Stockstill (4), Mrs. Trampe (5), Ms. Bromberg (4), Mrs. McBroom (4), Mrs. Frahlman (3). If you aren't on the list to drive and you would still like to go, let me know and we can either fit you in somewhere or start another car.
• Mark your calendar: Kindergarten sings Sunday, May 5th at the 10:30 service,  Mom's Day will be the afternoon of Friday, May 10th, The Magic House Field trip is scheduled for Friday, May 17, Kindergarten closing chapel will be at 2:00 on Thursday, May 23 (which is the last day of school for Kindergarten). Kindergarten does not have school on Friday, May 24th.

Work together Wednesday: We paired up with our 4th-grade partner class (Mrs. Ernstmeyer's class) to play a few sports-related activities, we made an information card, and we made a collaborative wall mural for the hallway.

We finished learning the Lord's Prayer and it was so touching to look over and see Jack bowing his head and saying the prayer after he was finished illustrating his paper. The picture shown was drawn by Kate. I didn't want to interrupt Jack while he was praying to take a picture of his paper. :)

We got a special surprise yesterday! Our caterpillars arrived! We will have a chance to watch them grow and take care of them until they are ready to be released.
