Points of interest:
- Field trip permission slips came home last week. Please return them as soon as possible. We still need a couple of parent drivers for our Pumpkin Patch visit on Wednesday, October 9th. You can email mthomason@zionharvester.org to get your driving background check. It's all done online and doesn't take much time. It is valid for a full year so you will be covered for every field trip (even our final field trip to the Magic House)!
- Speech screenings will take place next week. I have been in touch with a few parents, but if I did not contact you and you would like to have your child screened, send me an email and I will send home a permission slip. The cost of the screening is $25.
- Mrs. Haun will be facilitating a new bible study by Marilyn Sharpe, author of For Heaven's Sake: Parenting Preschoolers Faithfully. She states that “parents are vitally important in passing on the faith to children and youth. Factors in whether or not our children will have faith include what mom does, what dad does, what mom says and what dad says.” (pp. 4)Join us on Sunday morning in the fellowship hall at Zion Lutheran Church to learn more about how we can partner together to make that happen.
