It was great talking with everyone during Parent-Teacher Conferences. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns that pop up later in the school year. 

Muffins for Moms will be held in the church basement on Wednesday, Nov. 6th from 7:00-7:45. If you are unable to attend, no worries, I will meet your child in the classroom as usual.

Spread the word... Open House will now be held in the fall! Zion Lutheran School will host our Open House on November 10th from 3-5 p.m. This is a time for families to check out all of the great things Zion has to offer and to take a peek at future grade levels. Open House is designed to help families with decisions about enrollment for the upcoming school year. This is earlier than in the past. Zion usually hosts Open House in January; however, our spots have been filling up earlier, so our administration has decided to move Open House to the fall. Enrollment opens January 26th for the 2020-2021 school year!

Be sure to note the calendar time change for our singing time. We will be singing on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 10:30 instead of at the Saturday service. 

Mark your calendars for our next field trip! We are going to Breeze Park to show God's love to the residents of the Lutheran Senior Center. We will travel to Breeze Park on Tuesday, November 26th to share in a craft together and sing for the senior members of our community. Watch for the permission slip coming home next Friday. We will take a small gift of a warm pair of socks to our craft partners. You may send in your donation of a warm pair of socks at any time, and students can keep them in their top cubby until our trip. Giving our time and a small gift will help us kick off the holiday season by loving and caring for our neighbors. 

A calendar reminder that we will have a half-day on Wednesday, November 27th and no school on the 28th and 29th for Thanksgiving break.
