Important Points of Interest:
- Don't forget we sing this Saturday (11/3/18) at the 5:00 church service. The children will sing in the balcony. Mrs. Runge will meet you by the stairs to help direct you. We will meet in the music room on the top floor 10 min before the service starts. The children will sing at the beginning of the service and they will come down for the Children's Message. After the Children's Message, the children will return to parents.
- MUFFINS FOR MOMS will be on Wednesday, Nov. 7th and starts at 7:00 in the church basement. Moms are invited to stay and sit with us for the chapel service. Students will briefly go to classrooms from 7:45-8:00 to check in and we will walk over to chapel as a class. Moms can walk over to chapel with us.
- We will be going to Breeze Park on Thursday, November 15th. A permission slip came home today. Please let me know if you can drive and how many children can fit in your vehicle. We are focusing on being thankful for family, friends, and our neighbors this month. Serving others is part of showing God's love and we are thankful to have the opportunity to spend some time with the residents of Breeze Park. Each student will make a card/picture to take along with a pair of socks. Please donate a pair of warm socks for your child to take to their resident. You may send in the socks at any time and I will store them in their cubby until we go. We will make a craft and sing a couple of songs before heading back to campus. We will arrive after our regularly scheduled lunch time so I will provide a pizza, applesauce, and juice lunch for the students. If your child does not like pizza please send in a cold lunch for them on Thursday, November 15.
- 2nd Quarter book report forms are due at the end of the quarter (December). Feel free to turn them in any time during this quarter.
- A reminder that reading books are exchanged on Wednesdays. Mrs. Runge will replace last weeks book for a new book I have selected. Please let me know if you have any questions. If your child is doing well recognizing the popcorn words, challenge them to write the words.
- No School Tuesday, November 6th
- Zion Lutheran Junior High conducts a Veteran's Day service every year, and we are excited to extend an invitation for anyone to join us. The Boy Scouts will conduct a flag ceremony, and following the service all Veterans are invited to stay for a group photo and accept our appreciation for their service.Veteran's Day Service:Friday, November 9, 20188:15 - 8:45am in the church sanctuary
