Important Points of Interest:
  • During the month of May, Kindergarten learns about the many different types of jobs that people do in our community. We would love to have parents, family, and/or friends come in to talk about what they do for a living, as a hobby, or just to share any special knowledge points that might help Kindergarteners become more familiar with what people do in our community. The month of May is open and I can schedule around almost anything, so please email me if you would be able to come in and share what you do with us.
  • Our field trip to Towne Park has been rescheduled for Monday, May 6th- wear red zion shirt and bring a peanut free lunch. Don't forget your booster seats! :) We will leave at 9:00 and should arrive back at 2:00. Drivers: Mrs. Stockstill, Mrs. Bromberg, and Mrs. McBroom.
  • Mom's day is planned for Friday, May 10th at 1:00 and both
classes will meet our Mom's in the gym. Look for a special invitation coming home in red folders on Thursday.

Looking ahead:
  • As we come to the end of the year, it has become a Kindergarten tradition to create a wheels project as we move onto summer fun!  Students work on this project with parents at home and bring it to school the last week of class. We will take these over to our closing chapel. The vehicle can be a car, a bike, a wagon, or anything that has wheels.  You may make it three-dimensional, using boxes, wood, etc., or you may draw or paint it.  As always, be creative!  These aren’t due until the end of May (please don’t bring it in until then), but I thought I would give you a head start since May can get a little crazy.
  • *Kindergarten sings on Sunday, May 5th at the 10:30 service.
*We will visit the Magic House on Friday, May 17th.
*Closing chapel for Kindergarten will take place on Thursday, May 23rd at 2:00 and this will be the last day of class for Kindergarteners.
Kindergarten does not have school on Friday, May 24th (which is the closing chapel day for 1st-8th).
Please let me know if you have any questions. I know this is the first time through all of this "stuff" for most of you, so please don't hesitate if you aren't sure about something.
