Things coming home in Red Folder today:
  • I am sending home a form to fill out and return if your child needs after school care on our half-day (Wednesday, September 18th). Please fill it out and return it so they can staff accordingly.
  • I am sending home book report information. This is really just a time for your child to share a book they enjoy. I am sending home a report to fill out and they will bring in the form with the book to share in front of the class. Please let me know if you have any questions. This isn't meant to cause any stress or take a lot of time to complete, so please let me know if this is causing you or your child any worries.
  • You will also find a blank piece of white card stock. Please fill this in with information about your child. They can draw pictures or glue pictures onto the paper. They will present their "All About Me" cardstock to the class so we can get to know each other a little better.
  • School pictures are coming home today!
  • Library books are coming home in backpacks today! Every Friday we will visit the Zion Library! You/your child can return the books on any day of the week. There is a small rolling cart under the job board. Books are due next Friday.
Points of interest:
  • This Sunday begins a new Bible study for parents. I will be facilitating the study called, For Heaven’s Sake: Parenting Preschoolers Faithfully By Marilyn Sharpe (2010, Huff Publishing Associates, LLC), September 8th through October 20th. The book is realistic, encouraging, and supportive for all who want to nurture faith in Jesus Christ in the home while using proven methods for raising great preschoolers. It's full of practical suggestions for daily life together. For Heaven's Sake: Parenting Preschoolers Faithfully will be our companion and guide as we navigate this formative time in the life of a young child. The study is ideal for parents and for anyone that spends time with little ones, ages two through seven.
  • The Bobcat Shuffle is this Saturday! I will be out of town but if you text me your pictures from the event I will put them on our class Instagram page.
  • Dad's Day is right around the corner (Friday, September 20th)! It will start at 12:45. The invitation will come home next Friday. Our theme is Superheros! If your husband is out of town (military or business etc.) and can't make it, please let me know. Another special "superhero" is welcome to come to share the afternoon with your kindergartener.
